since we bought it it never worked properly, majority of time black and white screen came on, today it jaust lays there, making us made every day as we ride our van, please do not buy this junk

Do not purchase this product. From the day it was installed the Initial idm-fd10 flip down lcd monitor with dvd player has not worked. How can a company make and sell such a piece of rubbish. The sound on the dvd player does not work after hitting a small bump or pothole. The video fades from color to black and white constantly. I have only owned this item for 1 week and I cannot wait to take it back. I would not reccommend this to even my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and stay away from all Initial products. After my horrible experience I most certainly will. I attempted to call their customer service dept. at 1-800-216-5156 and was directed to call Global navigation at 1-800-838-3315 where the customer service was horrible. They advised me to send the unit back to them and they will send me another one. Unfortunately they could not pay me to take another one in return. I will visit 6TH ave electronics for a refund. This product is horrible do not buy. Buyer beware of all Initial products as well as all Global Navigation products.

This is the 3rd one of these we have had in our van in the last barely 6 months. The 1st one had issues with skipping and the sound. The second one the sound went out within a week and the 3rd we had the longest and worked the best until last week. The sound goes out off and on randemly and we were on a trip back today get in our van to leave and nothing, it won't power up or do anything. We had a guy who worked for the dealership initally install it and he gave us a "good deal" or so we thought. He went out of bussiness 2 weeks later so we had been dealing with sound shop but they do not carry this product so they talk to the manufacturer and get us new ones for them to install but they are not really even wanting to do that anymore cause they have done it for us 2 x's now and they get nothing out of it.
We are really in a bad position and not sure even what to do.
