Excellent price, decent graphics card.......2007-12-30
This isn't exactly high end for graphics card, but I needed a functional card that played nicely with Linux and the 22" Westinghouse widescreen monitor we recently bought ($169 at Target on black Friday, woot!). I have an older computer, so I've had issues with X locking up on me when OpenGL functions were hit (glxgears, glmatrix screensaver, chromium game, etc.). I played a bit with BIOS settings and bought a new power supply and now all of the above seem to work fine with NVidia's proprietary drivers. I still can't get compiz to run with this card on my computer, but I blame my computer for that more than this card. That being said, I've seen a bunch of comments about the 6200 series having weird crashing/hard-locking problems (on Linux as well other OSen) that lead me to believe there may be some fundamental problems with this card that NVidia still hasn't ironed out yet with their drivers.
So, anyway, nice card, good cheap price, functional for 22" widescreen monitor support, but you may have problems doing anything intensive or OpenGL.

Card Works Fine For AGP Machines.......2007-12-28
This card works fine for machines with an AGP slot on the motherboard. Big improvement over the old 128 MB FX5200 cards. I'm running dual monitors and this works great too. The only thing you need to be aware of is there is one VGA and one DVI port on the card, so if you running two monitors you will need either a DVI to VGA connector or the reverse for the 2nd monitor. This is NOT included, and I think that XFX should have stated that in the product specs. However, due to the excellent price and the rebate, I'm giving this one 5 stars for value and performance.
You can also purchase a DVI cable, to use for example if your flat panel monitor has both VGA and DVI ports. So you would just use one monitor with the DVI cable and one with the VGA.
Also, I'd recommend downloading the latest drivers off the Nvidia web site.
All in all, a good way to improve graphics on older machines.

Not a bad card for the price. Have it running under Slackware right now and it performs much better than my onboard card. Its capable of running UT2K4 and Doom 3 under Linux. All around not too bad.
