Warning to all who enter here: you are on a slippery slope to madness!

I made the mistake of lifting this strobe while at a camera story. Four pounds, stable as a rock, and it just *feels* great. What's on offer here is just the beginning. By the time you're done, you'll have a head, a center post, some spikes, ... Everything just works flawlessly: the leg locks, the off-center ball head pan and adjust, the center post lock, etc. You'll be poor, but happy. The (now complete) tripod is one of my favorite possessions.

Could you get something for less? Yup! Would it be as light? Nope! Would it be as sturdy? Only if you were willing to carry a VERY heavy tripod. Is carbon fiber the coolest thing on the planet? You betcha.
