Beware with bus-slewing PowerBooks such as the 1.25GHz.......2006-01-13
I am sure this module works fine for most people, but it did not work reliably in my PowerBook G4 1.25GHz. My system crashed at least four times in first 24 hours after I installed this memory -- up from virtually 0 without the memory (previously rebooted every 10 to 20 days for updates and/or cleanup and no crashes in at least 2 or 3 months). My understanding is my PowerBook is one of three PowerBook G4 Aluminum models that use bus-slewing, and that memory must be tested specifically for these models to work reliably. Memory advertised to work across all PC2700 PowerBooks may not be compatible with the bus-slewing models.
It's less than half the price of the Apple memory..........2005-08-03
... and at the end they uses the same Samsung chip for the RAM!!!
I've installed on my Powerbook G4 with no problem. The computer immediately started with no problems and detected the memory.
So far I've never had any crash/unexpected behavior or problems since I've installed this memory.
What do you want more from a RAM chip?
