zippy keyboards rock!.......2007-12-27
i've had three el620 keyboards (which may differ from el610 shown here but i can't see any difference at all) and they've been great. one finally began acting up but after three years' of use -- but at the rate i write that could be six or 10 years for many folks. i use my laptop as a docked processor, with external monitor, mouse and keyboard. i want a keyboard that's not only about same size as laptops, so i can get the mouse close by my right hand, but also similar in layout and feel. the zippy qualifies. lighting up when it's dark also comes in very handy. finally, i have to add a note about great customer service i've experienced with zippy direct: i had a minor but irritating problem with one key in a keyboard that was pretty much new, bought from online vendor who wouldn't exchange it because i hadn't kept the original box. i contacted zippy and they they sent a new one right out to me; i agreed to ship back the one with problem key.

I just got mine today and it's awesome! I had a little confusion trying to "turn off" the numbers lock (all I had to do was press the "NumLk" button but NOT the fn key! I love the feel, and now I can sit straight at my desk instead of leaning over to the left which I had to do to accomodate my larger keyboard. I love the blue light (and yes, you can turn off the lighting by pressing the center button). Great buy! Awesome keyboard! I love the feel! I type all day, at around 80 wpm and it's GREAT.

I purchased this keyboard a month ago and the letters started chipping off about a week ago..a, s, m, and e are almost completely chipped off now and suddenly the r wont type when I hit it sometimes..I have to now proof read what I type and fill in the r's hitting it 2 or 3 times before it will type one..the keyboard sure looks cool, it is small so saves space, and best of all it lights up!! but dont let all that fool you..it is unreliable.
