From the picture, I thought this would look sort of like cherry or cedar. It turned out to be more of an oxblood red, with black "grain". Once I put it on my phone, though, it didn't look bad. Although it doesn't exactly look like I expected, it's still very attractive. It also fits my phone perfectly, and snapped on very securely. It's plastic, but it doesn't feel at all cheap or flimsy.
