Batteries and picture quality.......2007-08-18

I bought this camera to replace an older Kodak Easy Share, which I loved. It used an Ion battery, which seemingly never lost its charge. The NiMH battery pack that came with this camera would NOT charge straight out of the package, and after many e-mails with Kodak, in which they refused to send another battery pack or 'own' the problem at all, I gave up. I can take about 10 pictures with regular AA batteries, before they are used up. That is ridiculous. (Yes, I realize I can buy another package of NiMH batteries, but I shouldn't have to, since I already paid for them once!) The picture quality is always a gamble. Sometimes it's OK (never great), and other times, it is absolutely terrible. Pictures taken with a tripod and self-timer, even in bright sunlight? Awful. Every time. If it requires flash, it's worse than awful and not worth attempting. Not very clear/crisp at other times. Very inconsistent. I like the ease of Kodak's software, but I am sorry to say I probably won't buy Kodak product after this experience.

Kodak Just Gets Better.......2007-07-28

This is my second Kodak Easy Share and it is as advertised. I upgraded from a camera bought 3 years ago and it is amazing how improved they have become. It is small so it is easy to carry in a pocket or purse and yet the screen is much larger for those who are far-sighted. The pictures are clear and detailed with many new settings to make anyone get results like a professional photographer.

Nice camera.......2007-07-15

I bought this camera for my son's wedding, and it produced some very nice pictures. Have some extra batteries with you. This one is a nice size for travel when you don't want to take your big camera with you; it won't replace a larger camera with all the bells & whistles, but a nice extra one.

It's a great little camera, easy to use, takes a nice picture and I love the movie feature (I even stopped carrying around my Sony Camcorder).

Product Description

The EZ Finder is a simple, but efficient point-where-you-want-to-go device for finding celestial objects. It superimposes a tiny, LED-powered red dot at infinity on the sky. When aligned with your telescope's field of view, the dot shows you exactly where your telescope is pointed. It's easier than a standard finder scope because what you see through the EZ Finder is a nonmagnified, naked-eye view of the sky that is correctly oriented, not upside down. The brightness of the dot, which is centered in a 10-degree field of view, can be adjusted to suit your preference. Thumbwheels allow positioning of the dot horizontally and vertically for precise alignment with the main telescope. EZ Finder comes with a bracket that fits the quick-release dovetail mounting on many Orion telescopes. (For installation on other telescopes, the dovetail base can be purchased separately.
