This product is okay but lacks some features. While it does retract, you have to retract both ends at the same time from the center to get both sides to retract completely. It also doesn't have a hot sync button on it. It is more convenient to have one but you can hot sync without the button.

This kind of cable is very useful & compact to travel. I recommend this product to use with Treo family phones...

A little hard to retract.......2007-11-12

Works as advertised on my Treo 700WX, but it took some time before I learned how to make the cable retract. You have to pull both ends and release at the same time to retract. I tried to pull and release one end at a time at first, and never was able to retract both sides fully until I learned to pull both ends at the same time.

A disappointing product.......2007-11-05

The cable itself works properly which explains my one-star rating; however, the retractable portion had an incredibly short life. It jammed in the extended position with 3 or 4 uses, and I pitched the entire thing out.

Nice product.......2007-02-22

The product is compact and convenient, but it feels flimsy. The hotsync function stopped working for a bit but was restored after I did a hard reset of my Palm TX--so it was not a cable problem but a problem with my TX. For some reason, the cable won't let me charge using the USB wall-charger I got for my wife's iPod, but it does charge the TX off my computer's USB port (which is a Powerbook G4--notorious for being underpowered).
