Screwed over by Amazon.......2007-03-23
The item was perfect, just not what I ordered or wanted. Amazon says I ordered the wrong item and I had to pay return shipping and a re-stocking charge. I sent Amazon a copy of the original order confirmation and it did not say ceiling mount anywhere, as it didn't when I ordered them!
I doubt that I will ever order from Amazon again as this was an expensive time wasting event that I will never want to repeat.
Speaker Mount.......2007-03-16
The ceiling speaker mount was easy to install. I mounted a 12 pound speaker on the mount, which was designed to support up to 20 pounds. It held the speaker securely into position.

Item purchased from Amazon, was NOT new. Missing parts........2007-10-03
I ordered this item from amazon and it was very apparent that it had been used and repackaged and resold by the third party vendor. Also, one of the two mounts was missing drywall screws needed to mount it to the wall. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase screws. It cost too much to ship it back or make a stink but but it was annoying to spend a considerable amount of money only to find that the item had been previously opened and used.

I have been using Omnimount products for years. I buy a new set of four every time I move into a new house. They are solidly made and offer a great range of movement. I have never had a problem with them sliding out of adjustment.
The only shortcoming is that I would have liked them to angle down just a hair more since I now have nine foot ceilings and the speakers are mounted high on the walls (only an issue with the back speakers, which are closer to the couch). For me, the sturdiness more than makes up for it though.
