Bought these because they were a good price. Shipping was reasonable though ironic that it was 3 times the price of the cables itself. I'd say that there is about a 10% improvement over the cables that came with the Wii, but noting to get too excited about. I might buy the Wii-Licenced Component Cables just to see if they make a real difference.

I don't know how they can call these cables premium when they are not double shielded. Additionally, the connectors do not fit as snuggly as the Belkin ones I bought. Of course I paid 5 times as much for the premium Belkin cables. The description claims that the product has an "Ultra thick and flexible PVC jacket" but again, the jacket is not half as thick as the Belkin's.
On the plus side, the connectors do stay plugged in and the picture quality is great despite not being double shielded. This is a cheap upgrade from the cables the Wii comes with and if you have an HDTV you definitely need component cables--the different is much more noticeable.

Got this for my 42" LCD 1080P HDTV. Works perfect and clears up the images a good deal. Not as sharp as an XBOX, but then again if you play Wii you'rw not getting it for the graphics. Get this item, it's worth the few bucks. You'll see about a 30% better picture on your HD set.

First off the cables seem to work well and not a bad price either. Only problem is that the Wii isn't known for it's graphics. I couldn't really tell a difference between these and the cables that came with the Wii. Maybe right now the games don't keep up with the cables, maybe some games down the road will make better use of them.

If you're the thrill seeking type, then go ahead and give this one a go. Otherwise, pay the extra money and get a product that has some type of warranty/guarantee associated with it. In my case, I went cheap and payed the price for it. The cable DID come to my home. Too bad one connector was bent beyond recognition. When I attempted to put it in place, it snapped. Kudos go to the inventor of the plastic component connection. A big thanks to BargainCell for their amazing quality control...

The Wii Component Video Cable allows you to hook your Wii console system to a high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p progressive output. 480p progressive output displays at a higher resolution than standard 480i resolution.
Please note that your TV must be a high-definition TV (HDTV) or enhanced-definition TV (EDTV) to view 480p output. You will also be required to change your Wii settings from Standard TV (480i) to EDTV/HDTV to view 480p. details on changing your Wii console system settings or check page 44 in your Wii console system 'Channels & Settings' manual.
You cannot see Wii progressive display output when the Wii console system is hooked to a TV using any other kind of cable. NOTE: This component video cable is for the Wii and will not work with any other system. In addition, the Nintendo GameCube Component Video Cable will not work with the Wii.

I'm sure everyone know the difference between Analog and Digital signals.
Analog signals you can picture as waves, while digital are 1's and 0's. (On and off).
Component Cables are a medium for Analog signals, and Analog signals require really good shielding. Otherwise, you will get major interference from any other cables or machines that will induce interference onto the cable.
This cable did really poor for me, because every once and a while I would get some snow-like interference every once in a while. I could really tell when playing Resident Evil 4.
I would definitely recommend getting Nintendo brand component cables. I'm sure they have a really good quality shielding on their cables.
I wish Nintendo moved to high definition Digital cables like hdmi. Because Digital cables do not require much shielding like Analog does.
The only reason this product 2 stars is because it was incredibly cheap.
