High-definition TV, progressive-scan DVD, plasma displays, and projectors deliver eye-popping pictures like never before. Component Video Cable Technical Information: 75-ohm (+ or - 1.5 ohm) - tightest tolerance in the industry. Solid-core silver-coated conductors. 500% larger conductor than our previous standard component video cable. Swept-tested over 3 Ghz bandwidth. Low 16.2 pF/ft capacitance. CMR rated for in-wall use. Gold-plated corrosion-resistant 75-ohm RCAs or BNC connectors. Nitrogen-injected HDPE dielectric insulation. Shielded with combination 100% foil and braided shield to protect against RFI and EMI. Installations that use component video require special parameters in the cable design. Chief among them is TIMING. Since the signal is split into 3-channels (a B&W signal and two color difference signals) and then reassembled, the signals must arrive at the same time at the destination. The more the timing variance, the less detail can be resolved in the resulting picture. BetterCables Silver Serpent Component Video design guarantees a maximum of 2.5 nanoseconds per 100 ft.
