The case is really, really strong........2007-09-27
When I saw it the first time, I thought it was cool. I'd never seen cases like this for ipods. When I ordered it, the package was shipped to NY and to London and to Dubai and finally to me in Kuwait. The reason I mention this is the shipping package was totally destroyed, as if an elephant had stepped on it. But the case was completely unharmed. The case is really, really strong. However, I wouldn't advise taking this case to the gym, work, etc because it does look like something for a doctor to carry. It's perfect for traveling to keep the ipod safe because inside is very solid sponge that holds the items in place but prevents scratching. It also looks good on the desk. It's designed for ipod video and shuffle, but it will hold any ipod or other electronic items--camera, mobile, etc. The picture is very accurate.

Depending on how much you wish to travel with, this box can be the answer. I had to modify the inside partitions of the box to allow me to carry my iPod in its toughskin case and other accessories.

I bought this thing after being fooled by the picture on the product page. As I look at the page today, that picture has been removed. You may be asking why. Well, it's blatant false advertisement. In fact, that same picture is on the package of the product I received and I'll tell you why it's covered in lies. Upon closer inspection (and if you could see it), you would see that everything "in" the case in the picture has been photoshopped in there. You simply cannot fit that much stuff in there. The pocket on the upper part of the case is half of the size actually shown and has a split down the middle. This means that it is physically impossible for the case to hold the CD it is shown holding (in addition to the USB cable and headphones of an iPod). Oh, and if you do the smart thing and put your iPod in a protective sleeve, the margins are so tight that it probably won't properly fit. If you try to cram it in there, you run the risk of damaging the lining in this aluminum case. Bottom line, don't waste your money like I unfortunately did.
