I couldn't approve of the quality of this product more. A very functional, and attractive piece of furniture. Exactly what was described. This is a solid structure that will safety house all of the overpriced audio/video components we all love.

this is the second one of this item I've purchased. One was from a store and the other from amazon. Both had broken brackets on the back in the same place, so I've given up on this thing and just bought something else.

Some errors in the product description.......2007-08-11

Be forewarned. All the product literature on the web shows the Platinum/Glass version but this one is actually Glossy Black/Glass. There is no evidence anywhere that there is more than one color available or which color Amazon is selling on Omnimount's website or here. So if you order it expecting the version on Omnimount's website, you're stuck with a 120lb half-opened product that you have to figure some way of returning. (By the way, the picture Amazon provides looks like the platinum is reflecting something dark, but what is really going on is that it is pitch black and the photographer has reduced the contrast of the photo so much that it looks nothing like the photo in reality.)

Then when you decide you'll live with it, the version you get is missing the mount! (The parts must have fell out during shipping and the box underside turns out to have been taped back together on the inside.) Now in Amazon's defense, they sent me a whole new 120 lb box which they're forcing me to fish out the part and then arrange a return--exactly the sort of trouble I was trying to avoid in accepting the wrong color! (That's when I realized that the wrong color thing wasn't my mistake, but Amazon's.)

That makes me feel really bad. And I'm going to feel that way every time I look at the TV stand so I'm giving it the lowest rating.

The construction is very sturdy and the value of Omnimount's products in general (this is my second) is top notch, for my particular panel there are a number of complications not mentioned in the manual that are because the bolt pattern is too close. The welding shows no attention to detail and the metals used cheap, but it's from China and has to fit everything and the price is great so you know not to expect it to be built or packed by anyone who has any pride in their work.

I'd normally give this a 3 or 4 (there are nicer stands out there but they're way more expensive).

In general I'm starting to have some pretty bad experiences ordering furniture from Amazon. Their website is poor, the product titles are really bad, and then you're really inconvenienced if your order is wrong or things got damaged in shipping. Amazon Prime Member (like me) or not, pay a little more so you can work with a company that actually knows the sort of things that go on in selling and shipping something larger than a book.

Great stand; all steel and real sturdy. Built like a rock! Lets you tilt and turn the Plasma /LCD Screen easily. Great looking. Glass plates easily hold AV gear up to 150lbs.Works great in a corner application. Highly recommended. A++++++
