Good but small.......2007-12-02
Everything about this product seems to be really good. I have only used it once and that is because it is really small on my arm. I work out often and have decent size biceps, so when trying to wear this product it is really really tight. I would have liked to see it be more expandable, but I understand the difficultly of making true "one size fits all" So beware if you have bigger arms, but other wise it seems to work great!
It works great........2007-10-01
I have had no issues with this armband. It's not as easy to operate the iPod as it is without the armband on it but what would you expect?
Feels great, but is hard to change the volume.......2007-09-24
The Armband feels confortable, you just got close the velcro and then put it in yourself. I have found a little difficult to change the volume while jogging, sometime I change song, and once have stopped the workout trying to change it. Solution, I do not change the volume anymore while running.
Works wonders.......2007-08-27
I love this armband, I can see the screen through it and it stays on nicely. I usually tuck the cord under the band so it can go through my shirt without a problem. It's great because it doesn't slide down when running which I always have problems with, with any other arm band.

Great Sound.......2007-12-25
Great sound. The automatic speaker set up worked great. Set up with two Infinity Beta 50s biamped and a beta 50 center speaker. rear speakers and sub woofer are Kenwoods from old system (I plan to replace them soon). The Odyssey set up was very accurate, it determines the distance of the speakers from a test sound. I measured the distances and compared it to what it said and it was right on. Even my old rear and subwoofer sound very good with this receiver. Stereo sound with just the two Beta 50s sounds incredible. HDMI switching is great. I have not used it to up convert video signals since I am running HDMI for every thing. Movies in surround sound sound awesome as expected.
Outstanding Receiver for the "Price"!!!!.......2007-12-21
I received my receiver yesterday. I bought from Amazon. Got great price and great free shipping - received in 3 days from when I ordered.
The setup and installtion was a walk in the park. I didnt even read the manual - now I have to agree I have lot of experience in dealing with these but still I would say the onscreen setup and menus are very intutive. I changed the name of the game/TV to PS3 etc very easily.
Did the Speaker setup and it was great and easy.
I saw terminator 2 (blu ray) on PS3 and it was just fabulous. I had Yamaha Rx-V2400 earlier and I thought that was amazing. I even thought of not buying this receiver and just buying the DMP-BD10AK because it has 7.1 analog audio (I know I know that was idiotic thought but still) and now I am way happier with the results. Even my novice wife (who had questions about my decision to buy the receiver) also acknowledged the audio looks superb - worth the price.
Apart from the audio now I have one HDMi cable running to my projector (still have the component there) and I can switch the inputs to the receiver without switching the projector input. That was not a issue for me but it will make the theater usage much simpler for my wife and dad.
I do not have any heating issues at all. The receiver has 7" of open space on the top and the back of the entertainent system is also open. I can feel the heat coming out of the box but its getting dissipated very good. I am at advantage here because my system is in the home theater in the basement and the way I have the entertainment system setup - its not visible (remote works via the universal RF transmitter) so I can keep the back side open with wires showing. But that I think is the key to cool operation of this unit. If I keep this unit in any enclosed unit (typical credenza style entertainment center) it will heat up.
The only issue I saw was (as noted by others) there was considerable delay in switching the inputs. But given the price that downside is acceptable to me at least.
Before buying this unit I contemplated buying the TX-SR875 - I am happy I did not spend the extra $550. This unit will pass the 1080p input from any HDMI source (PS3 for me) to the projector/TV. I do not see any other 1080p source in the distant future than the HD-DVD or blu ray players. BTW I dont think any of these will win - it will be standard definition download - in 2-3 years. Remember DVD-Audio/SACD war?? who won - MP3!!! So dont worry I think what ever you buy(blu ray or HD DVD) it is going to go down the drain soon when somebody will provide you will instant movie downloads for $2 per movie!!! Back to SR875 Vs 805 I right now have a 720p projector (1080p is for next year). The PS3 works as the network connector through my wifi connection to it and I can see all the data I have on the 1TB of storage on my main PC. So the only functionality I think I lost was the video upscaling of my non-highdef dish connection. I have never seen the upscaling work to the extent where I can justify paying any money for it. So I think 805 is the way to go!!!!
BTW I noticed that the instruction manual is the same for SR875 and SR805!!! That tells me how different they are..
Onkyo 805 Rules !!!!.......2007-12-10
Awsome product for the money. Read reviews about 805 and save your money
and buy this unit, you will not be disapppointed. Tons of features, 130W
X 7 channels !!!! for under $700 !!!!!
Simply Awsome.......2007-11-29
I have had this for a few months, no buyers remorse with this one.
Pros:
It's and Onkyo, my gawd this thing pumps out a lot of clean power through 7 JBL speakers!
Cons.
Can't really stand the green led display. Blue would have looked much nicer IMO.
It did get hot one night but my wife had the volume about ¾ of the way up listen to Sirius top 40, it never shut off from the heat though.
I don't like the eq setting for each individual channel. Just way to much set up, it would be nice if Onkyo had a feature that would let you "tie" channels in pairs (l+r) or all channels together.
Only 3 HDMI inputs. That just not enough. Well barely but what if I want to add another component.
So much for your money.......2007-11-28
This is the second Onkyo receiver I have purchased in the last two years. I chose to upgrade to this receiver because of the HDMI input and because it can handle every type of input you can throw at it and upconvert the signal to high definition or near high definition. Example, my CD changers have RCA outputs to the receiver. This unit can take the signal and upconvert it to a digital output. This is also great when you have more HDMI capable units than the receiver can take. My cable is run to the receiver via component video cables but it upconverted by the receiver to 1080i. There is so much to tell about what this thing can do it is amazing. Read up on the descriptions from Onkyo. Also, of important note. This unit is HEAVY. Over 60 lbs. Give it some room to breathe as well since it will get warm. Do not stack anything on top as the top is the grill to cool the unit. I highly recommend this receiver. For the money there is nothing else on the market that can compare. Also, invest in good quality cables.
