    Product Description

This unit features a docking station that is compatible with all iPods (except Shuffle). You can control the iPod functions via the remote control - allowing you to sit back and relax while enjoying your favorite music and movies (yes, you can watch the movies and images on your TV too !). The amplifier can also take alternative sound sources to allow for more audio options as well as a video output to connect video enabled iPods to your TV!

    Amazon.com Product Description

The iTube Valve Dock is a performance hybrid valve amplifier with iPod dock, 27 key full function remote control and matched piano-black high quality speakers for true stereo imaging of music content. Additional input for any audio device (MP3/CD/DVD), video and S-video outputs for iPod Video products. Includes all cables, brush for cleaning and gloves for handling high-chrome finish. Also comes with speakers specifically calibrated to the iTube Valve dock.

Works with all dockable iPod models.

Two 6N1 (ECC85) tubes and a single 6E2 (EM87) tube provide superb audio reproduction.

    The Best of Both Worlds

The iTube Valve Dock sets out to restore that quality in your signal chain through time-tested valve technology. Featuring two 6N1 (ECC85) tubes and a single 6E2 (EM87) tube, the Valve Dock marries the warmth of classic audio reproduction with the ease of digital technology. Utilizing a hybrid-tube design platform, the iTube provides superb audio reproduction and attractive design at an affordable price.

Use the Valve Dock with any iPod (except Shuffle). A 27-key remote control is included, giving you complete control over all iPod functionality.

    Look and Listen

    Product Description

Bring the true-to-life sweetness of analog audio components to your iPod by fleshing out its sound with the iTube Carbon Edition. The Fatman combines the cutting edge futurism of an iPod-based playback system with the best in classic tube design. Fatman combines the 'heft' of tubes and the ease of digital technology. Few iPod components have gotten more rave reviews than the iTube Fatman, which combines a vacuum tube integrated amplifier and a separate iTube dock. Eager to add an extra heaping of elegance and even beefier output power, the heavyweights at TL Audio created a one-chassis version of the iTube Fatman. They call it the Carbon Edition in honor of its gorgeous high-gloss black finish. The iTube Carbon Edition brings a huge increase in power to the Fatman concept. Instead of the 13 watts per channel of the original iTube, the Carbon Edition delivers a slamming 25 watts per channel for truly bold and corpulent sound. The Carbon Edition also adds two pairs of source inputs in addition to the iPod dock. This gives you a choice of three audio sources (versus two for the original iTube), along with a remote control which handles volume and tonal changes for all three sources, plus all your iPod functions. The Fatman iTube Valve Dock features a dock that is compatible with all iPod models, with the exception of the iPod Shuffle. Fatman's big functionality lets you control the iPod functions using the remote control. So, sit back and relax while enjoying your favorite music, and movies, too, via your TV and the iTube's video dual outputs. Included with the Fatman is a pair of great sounding bookshelf speakers that are specially designed to bring out the best in your iTube.

5 out of 5 stars Itube Valve Dock Carbon Edition.......2007-11-26

This is the most awesome sounding speakers that I've ever heard-I gave it to my son-in-law for Christmas-He just put his Ipod on the dock and it was unbelievable! It has hook-ups for a CD Player that you can attach-also you can hook it up to the TV and watch videos. It has many other hook-ups for the person that knows what they're doing also. It was a little pricey, but it has an enormous sound! I would highly recommend it. It looks awesome on a bar or is aesthetically appealing anywhere that you decide to put it!

5 out of 5 stars Best Plasma TV over 60" for the money........2007-12-25

    Now, this is a TV.

63" still commands the respect that 50" plasma screens used to get.

We spent weeks shopping around the local big box retailers and the price on Amazon is almost $1,500 less than the lowest price we found -- plus free shipping and no sales tax! You cannot beat it.

This TV totally PWNS the set that it replaces -- a rear-projection travesty from Sony. Just make sure that you have enough room -- and if you are mounting this on a wall -- get it professionally installed -- no "hercules hooks" for this bad boy!

5 out of 5 stars Great big screen plasma TV .......2007-12-24

This is a fantastic set - it's huge so be sure you've got a room large enough to accomodate it. Too small a room and you get vertigo! Delivery was fast and setup was included in the cost. That's a good thing because this set is about 200 pounds and it takes two people to put it into place.

Another thing to watch for is the size as far as a stand or wall mounting - you will need to do some homework as most standard mounts and stands are for smaler sets. We spent more time searching for the right stand than the we did the TV itself.

Pricing locally we saved close to $2,000 compared to Best Buy and Fry's... they wouldn't even touch it on a price match basis.

The picture is crisp and sharp - the only real problems are the internal speakers facing the rear (vs) the front - but they still are outstanding... and it's not an issue as most people buying a set like this are going to channel sound through a home theater setup.

    5 out of 5 stars Can't beat the value.......2007-12-23

We've had this TV for about 3 weeks, and are absolutely thrilled with the purchase. This is our second Samsung set (the other one LCD), and we are consistently impressed with the quality and stunning picture.

We did a lot of homework on this purchase, and a few points are pretty compelling:

    1) Price/Performance: Many people steered us toward the Pioneer Kuro, as the "pros" consistently rate this very high. The Kuro has an extra HDMI port and light sensing, but costs at least $1000 more and gives you 3" less screen. (Not even going to discuss Pioneer 65" sets, because then you are nearly double the cost of this TV, which is just silly.) The Kuro's a nice set, but in our opinion, the Samsung has a brighter, more saturated color than the Kuro, and many regular people I have spoken with agree on that. Amazon's deal is $1000-1500 better than anywhere else.

    2) Do you watch sports, news channels, or are you planning on using a video game system? The Samsung has a feature that shifts the pixels around every so often to prevent burn-in. This is a unique feature to Samsung, and in my house, this is a key consideration. If you're watching something that has a static part of the screen (scoreboard, newsticker, station "bug", video game menu, etc.) , you'll want this.

3)We have the TV in a large & bright family room - our old projection TV was nearly useless if you didn't draw all the curtains. We're very pleased with the ability of this TV to be viewed in different conditions. Obviously, on the brightest days you'll get a little glare, but the coatings are really great on the screen, and we're very pleased to be able to not be forced to watch in the dark.

4)Amazon White Glove was FANTASTIC. The day my set was delivered, the weather was snowy and icy, and I was shocked that they were keeping the appointment. They pressed on, and despite the trickiness of the snow and ice, set my TV (200lbs - heavy!) up nice and safe, were neat, and didn't leave any mess at all.

A great experience, highly recommend this deal, folks. Enjoy your HD!

    5 out of 5 stars Very pleased.......2007-12-21

I searched everywhere and Amazon had the best price on this tv. Best Buy and Frys in my area wanted $1500 more for it. I ordered the TV late at night on a Tuesday and it was delivered the following Wednesday. The Eagle delivery service was great. They were very gentle and unpacked the TV and set it on my TV stand for me. They even waited while I hooked up a DVD player to test it out, and offered to dispose of the giant empty box for me.

When viewing the TV at night in the dark, the colors are amazing. When viewing it in a room with a lot of day light though, the colors aren't nearly as vibrant, but you can still see the picture OK (better than with my old rear projection TV).

I did not realize this when I ordered the TV, but the casing has a slick / shiney piano black finish. The box contained a soft cloth to wipe it with, but it attracts dust like crazy and finger prints show very easily. I'm constantly wiping it clean. I wish they would have used a different plastic material.

    5 out of 5 stars Awesome TV.......2007-12-13

Great TV, Great picture quality. Great price.
The samsung 6374 is fantastic. The image quality is superb. I have a 46 inch lcd and 50 inch plasma in other rooms of the house and this TV blows them away. It really gives you a home theater experience with size and quality. images are not pixelly and are unbelievably sharp. my TV guy says it's one of the nicest TVs he's ever seen and he generally works with higher end, luxury type consumers.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Plasma TV.......2007-05-10

I ordered this TV through Amazon/ButterflyPhoto. To be honest I was a bit concerned that I would have issues with the delivery. Come to find out, my fears were completely unfounded. I had an excellent experience. I ordered it on a Monday and it was in my living room on Wednesday.

The TV itself is amazing--despite what one other reviewer had to say about it. It comes on the swivel stand, which is rather sturdy and bears the weight of the TV rather well.

The picture is amazing--even on non-high def channels. I had a Sony HDTV prior to this and with this TV it is as if I had never truly seen High Def programming. The non-HD signal on regular digital channels are as good as the HD picture on the Sony and the HD signal on the Samsung is incomparable!

I thought that I would not like the fact that the TV does not have a wide-zoom option for picture size, but it is not an issue. Leaving the TV in 16:9 aspect ratio is fine--it is hardly noticeable.

    5 out of 5 stars Excellent Plasma.......2007-01-31

I originally purchased a 56" Samsung 1080p DLP (HL-S5687W) from Amazon. Unfortunately, I was one of the few who could see the rainbow effect of the single chip DLP color wheel. The rainbows were very distracting and I couldn't live with the set.

Amazon couldn't do anything for me such as exchanging the set for a different model. Fortunately, Samsung was willing to work with me and gave me the option to exchange/upgrade for a different set. I chose to go with the HP-S6373 and couldn't be happier.

I am really into picture quality, and this set has the best that I've seen anywhere. I had a 65" CRT RPTV for about three and a half years, and although it was ISF calibrated, the Samsung plasma looks much nicer. When I decided to get a new HDTV about five months ago, I went through two Sony 1080p SXRDs (KDS-60A2000), both ended up having green blob problems. Then I tried the Samsung DLP, which had the rainbow effect that I mentioned earlier. I spent so much time researching HDTVs, and the Sony and Samsung models that I had tried were arguable two of the best sets available at the time (I spent way too much time at the AVS Forum).

Anyhow, I am very happy with the Samsung HP-S6373. It minimizes two of the big concerns that people have with plasmas - glare and burn in - by using FilterBright Plus and automatic pixel shift technology. You can still see some reflection in a brightly lit room, but there is no silk screen effect (SSE), which was very noticeable on the SXRD and DLP. I'd rather have a little glare instead of SSE.

Both the Sony SXRD and Samsung DLP are 1080p sets. I understand why the higher resolution is important, especially for 1080i/1080p material but I can honestly tell you that my 1366 x 768 plasma looks much nicer than either 1080p set. Granted this may be due to my 12 foot viewing distance, but ultimately the best picture is up to the viewer and a 1080p sticker doesn't necessarily mean that the picture quality of one set is better than another.

I constantly found myself tweaking the Sony SXRD and Samsung DLP sets to get the best picture. I used service and user menu tweaks and recommended settings from Cnet and the AVS Forum, but was never completely satisfied. The HP-S6373 plasma didn't look so hot out of the box either, but after setting it to movie mode (with no other adjustments), it looks amazing.

It's probably not completely fair to compare RPTVs to a plasma, but I am just providing my opinion based on the sets that I've had. Another reviewer mentions that the build quality leaves much to be desired. I haven't owned any other plasmas, but compared to the RPTVs that I've owned, this set is pretty solid. The TV is level in the stand, so perhaps the reviewer had a bad stand.

The only annoyance I have with the set is that I can hear a slight buzzing noise when the volume is muted and a bright image is displayed. I can't hear it from where I sit and haven't noticed it during normal viewing. I just read complaints about buzzing on some of the Samsung 50" sets, so I was listening for it. I have to get within a couple feet of the set to hear it, and like I mentioned, it's only audible on bright images. Compared to the much more significant green blob and rainbow problems that I had on previous sets - this is a non issue.

Sorry to write so much, I just figured that I would share my experience incase anybody else has had as much trouble as I've had finding an HDTV that they are happy with. Most people (including my wife) would have been completely happy with the Sony SXRD or Samsung DLP.

    1 out of 5 stars A completely inferior large-screen plasma.......2007-01-27

I ordered this item from Amazon and was really excited for its arrival. Amazon's service was top-notch (as usual) and I had the TV in just a few days.

And that was the end of anything positive.

I really can't tell you how disappointed I was in this plasma.

Firstly, the picture quality is well below that of the competition. It does an extremely poor job with standard definition broadcasts and even HD broadcast don't look great. No matter how I adjusted the set, I couldn't get a realistic color setting. It seems the only choices are "too red", "too blue", and "too green". Ughh...

Secondly, the build quality leaves much to be desired. The TV comes delivered with a rotating stand that seemed like a nice feature as my room won't allow wall-mounting. But owing to the fact that the stand is mostly plastic, it does not provide adequate suport for the TV and the end result is that the TV does not stay level in the stand. In fact, the left side of my screen was a full 3/4 of an inch lower than the right side. It was very noticeable.

Finally, if you are someone who enjoys watching standard definition programs in a wide-screen format, you're in for a rude awakening. As you probably know, almost all manufacturers include a picture setting that expands the picture on the right and left screen edges while leaving the center of the screen untouched. Samsung calls this setting "panoramic" (others call it justified, etc.). Well guess what? Even though this is the flagship product in the Samsung plasma line, Samsung made the decision to leave this screen setting off of this TV. If you're watching a standard definition program your only options are putting up with the left and right side black bars, a zoom setting that cuts off the top and bottom of the picture, or a full-screen option that leaves you with the dreaded "fat head" syndrome.

When I first saw this 63" plasma at this relatively low price, I thought it seemed to good to be true. Turns out it was. Spend a couple grand more and get yourself the Panasonic 65" 1080P model. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier.
