Disappointing.......2007-08-02
There are not a lot of options available for Creative MP3 covers so I was glad to see this new offering at Amazon. It arrived quickly but is not as described. "Removable Sports Armband, Screen protection + Lanyard included". A lanyard came with it to hang from your neck but there was no armband and the screen has no protection because the skin has just a cutout for viewing, no clear cover. These were the fundamental reasons for wanting to buy this product so I have to say this was not a good deal.

The unique and flexible AS-IC6st technically is two speakers in one! It houses a 6-1/2" woofer with dual voice coils, and two ?" Teteron tweeters. There are dual input terminals on the speaker, so you can wire both left and right audio signals to the single speaker location, and have stereo sound. In a distributed audio application, this cuts in half the number of speakers needed, drastically reducing the overall cost of the system.

The speaker installs unobtrusively in the ceiling, where it takes up very little space while delivering topnotch stereo and home theater sound. More significantly, the speaker functions as two speakers in one. Not only does it include a 6.5-inch injection-molded woofer with dual voice coils and a pair of 0.75-inch Teteron tweeters, but it also sports dual input terminals, so you can wire both left and right audio signals to the single speaker location. As a result, you can enjoy full stereo sound through the AS-IC6ST and reduce your overall system cost.
The speaker not only offers a broad 55 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, but the Teteron tweeters are timbre matched to mesh with other Athena speakers, such as Audition floorstanding and bookshelf models. In fact, the AS-IC6ST can function as the rear channels in a surround sound setup while larger speakers handle the front signals. Just wire the rear channels into the speaker and you're set. It's never been easier or more affordable to create a versatile, custom home theater speaker system.
The speaker's versatility helps solve many of the installation problems common to rooms with unusual shapes or inflexible furniture layouts, as the AS-IC6ST works just as well as large speakers but without the bulk. Installation is relatively straightforward thanks to the included mounting template, which helps you precisely mark the cutout location. However, as with any home project, good planning is essential. Homeowners should carefully determine the ideal listening location and find a spot devoid of studs, insulation, moisture, and debris (the AS-IC6ST requires a mounting cutout of 7.6 inches in diameter with a depth of 2.8 inches).
Additional features include power handling of up to 100 watts RMS and a 2.4 kHz crossover point. The speaker weighs a mere 2.5 pounds and is backed by a five-year warranty on parts and labor.
