Did not even hook this up, due to having to purchase a REQUIRED- Blue tooth adapter that is not designed inside this unit to work with my phone, this would have been an additional cost of $75 or more, so I returned it.

I purchased the Item 3 months ago along with the bluetooth adapter to use with my cell phone. It started off working fine, I got a new cell phone and this company wants $25.00 for a firmware update to make it work with my new phone even though it's still under warranty. That is absurd! I am currently filing complaints against this company with the Better Business Bureau. This company sucks when it comes to supporting it's products, DO NOT BUY, They don't honor there own warranty.

We just moved and we opted to drop our landline and save $60/month. In its place we added another number to our cell phone plan ($10/month) and I activated an old Motorola 120e rather than purchase a new cell phone. We then purchased the Dock-N-Talk and plugged it in to our cordless base unit we used with our old landline. Now we can use our 4-handset 5.8 GHz landline system with answering machine without the expense of a landline. I also really like having a home number rather than always having to give out my cell phone.

The only special feature we use is Caller ID and that works fine. Others have said more advanced features also work, but we've never tried them. I called our cell carrier (Verizon) and had them deactivate the voicemail associated with the new line so we could use our answering machine.

The only downside is that it will not work as a fax or modem so it won't work for tivo, directv, etc. Nonetheless, we have DirecTV with Tivo and haven't had a problem. The only difference is that if we want to watch PPV we order it on the DirecTV web site rather than using the DirecTV remote control. If you order using the remote you'll be able to at least initially (it stores the purchase on your DirecTV smart card), but you will probably run into problems down the road.

Lastly, the only problem I had with the Dock-N-Talk actually turned out to put PhoneLabs in a better light. My Motorola 120e did not work with my original Dock-N-Talk because of an esoteric firmware problem. When I called the support number I was shocked to find myself speaking with a very knowledgeable tech support person based in NYC. The person knew the Dock-N-Talk inside and out and was definitely not reading from a script. He determined the problem very quickly and I had an updated Dock-N-Talk in a matter of days.

Best concept ever. The machine works as expected.

I decided to get rid of my home phone line and transfer it as a second cell phone to my cell account ($10 per month extra, instead of $60 per month I was paying to AT&T), so I researched this little machine from Phonelabs.

It arrived in a sealed plastic package, once I read the instructions it took less than 10 minutes to find a spot in the house where the reception is best, disconnect my home phones from the AT&T line and connect it to the DNT01, connect it to my cell phone using the optional ($12.99) charging cable, restarting the cell phone and dialing a test call.

All Cell phone features are available to my home line (voice mail, caller ID, caller ring tones, 3 way calling, etc), the only change I had to do is use a # after dialing to let the DNT01 that it has to dial (otherwise it takes 10 seconds after the last number to dial out), for example 19095551212 is now 19095551212#.

All together, best purchase I ever did. It delivered what was expected and more.

It also has a blue tooth link (that doesn't charge the cell) that I didn't find useful, but if you are a techno freak, you'll find useful, as it allows you to have just one cell phone, take it with you when you go out, and as soon as you come home and place it near the DNT01+Bluetooth, they pair up and all calls are routed to your home handsets. Sounds cool, but I had no use for it.

I purchased two of the subject systems and was pleased with the quality of the sound provided. They were superior to other off the shelf hands free systems I tried.

Unfortunately, the phone connector that attached to the phone and included the built-in microphone was too fragile and both had "posts" to assist in securing the connector to the phone. In both of my adaptors, one of the posts broke and therefore the connector will not stay in the phone.
