I bought this product after reading some of the reviews here that said it put out sufficent sound despite its small size. After setting it up and trying it out I was less than impressed. The sound is sunstandard and has very little bass. There are also lots of wires that run from each section which can be difficult to hide.
It does charge nicely and the blue light looks good but if you need speakers for your sansa, look for something else!
I ended up using a set of old computer speakers that plug into the headphone slot. It may not charge it but I can hear what I want quite clearly and with sufficent bass.

Lo recomiendo, porque es muy practico y elegante, las dos corentas que trae son suficientes para el tamaño. Se les puede quitar las cornetas y quedarse solo con el cargador a la hora de viajar. Muy linda presentacion y excelente acabado.
Upgrade Firmware on Sansa.......2007-01-29
Speakers worked good after we upgraded the firmware on the Sansa MP3 player per their Support folks. Before that the Icetune docking station would only charge the player, no sound.

The product offers a stackable format which cuts down on space or you can spread it out. Would prefer if it had more bass available but this type has no adjustment. The volumn is consistent up until almost max where there is distortion Purchased this mainly so that my daugher could charge up her ipod.
Good sound... bad stack.......2006-08-17
I wanted a docking system with speakers that I could take to work. I felt like the cords were all over the place. One to go to each speaker and one for the plug. No battery option either. When stacked the unit was pretty unstable. It fell over and apart (and my ipod feel off the dock) when I barely touched it. Though the sound quality was pretty good it lacks an AM/FM tuner which come on most other dock/speaker combos for around this price. Traded mine in for a more stable and solid system with AM/FM tuner for a few more dollars.

I think this little speakers are great for the office. They do not have a great sound but they are practical and they work great with the ipod.
The perfect docking station for tight spaces.......2006-04-11
I had been looking for a docking station to put on a window sill in my kitchen and could not find one that would be small enough to feel safe. I finally saw the IceTune and it fits perfectly. Not only does it have a tiny footprint but the sound quality is great. In addition, because the speakers can be stacked or separated, you can actually get some separation between the left and right signal. Most of the other docking stations I have seen are built as a single block. As if these attributes were not enough, this just happens to be one of the least expensive docking options out there.

These speakers are awesome for the price. They charge your ipod even when the unit is off. The sound quality is great for around 50 bucks. I bought these for traveling and they are small enough to fit in a suitcase without taking up too much room. They also stack so they don't take up much counter space. I can't say enough about the sound quality. They are great!
