Motorola wireless telephone.......2007-05-23
Functions well. Phone book setup is straightforward but arduous. Good value portable phone.
Very slick phone.......2007-01-10
This phone works very well and was easy to set up. We have two on our second floor. Both work off of the same phone book and phone connection. Sound and quality are excellent.

Good Phones for the money.......2007-10-25
I have had these phones since February 2007, they seem to be good phones, not a lot of static. If batteries are charged properly before any use, they hold a charge very well. I would recommend them.
Not worth it.......2007-08-28
As mentioned in previous reviews, this phone does not have a battery indicator. It also does not tell you how low your battery is. So in the middle of the conversation, it just goes dead without warning. I had Motorola replaced the battery, because I was only getting a talk time of 30 minutes max... which is due to the phone always continuously being charged. But how is a consumer suppose to know when to charge the phone if there is no battery indicator. Stay away from this phone.
Where's the bleepin battery indicator?!.......2007-08-20
The phone sounds great. I don't have a problem with the sound. The size, great. It's light, great. Not too thrilled with its menus, but that I could live with.
My major beef is that there's NO REASON the battery indicator can not indicate what the battery status is when the phone is not on the base. What the heck's the point of knowing the battery status only when it's on the base?? And even then, it doesn't give you a battery life status, it gives you a battery charging status. OF COURSE I KNOW THE THING'S CHARGING IN THE BASE if the light's green.
So, the point is if you're like me and leave your phone off of the base for a few days at a time (because I still do not trust that keeping them on the charger will not kill the battery), expect to be in the middle of a conversation and hear a beep, or simply come back to pick up a dead phone.
This one, small, inconvenience is sending me searching for a new phone. After a couple of frustrating hours on the phone with various customer service reps today, the beep came at the wrong time. Of course, had I known that battery life was at less than 1/3rd, I would have run to get a new handset before starting the last call.
It's like Ford selling a car without a fuel gauge - or worst yet, Ford selling a car that tells you the fuel state only when there's a gas pump in the tank (because you always need to know how much gas you have while the pump is in the tank). Seems too simple to miss, therefore inexcusable.
Decent phone system, but not the best.......2007-07-26
These phones were a replacemenbt for an older (6 year old?) cordless system which was nothing special b ut batteries started dieing. The range on these Motorola phones is lower than the older system, even though the base station is in the same place. It's in a house, so the signal only needs to travel through walls, wood, wiring, and the occasional appliance. On the plus side, the base-station-based address book is a nice touch. Also lots of bells and whistles for transferring calls, etc., but nothing we would ever use.
My biggest disappointment with the phone is the battery indicator. One of my pet peeves is batter-powered electronic devices that don't show current battery charge level. I hate not knowing if the phone has a full battery or not. I searched high and wide on Amazon.com to find a cordless phone system with a battery indicator. The promotional pictures for this product on the web site (and even the box) showed a battery symbol on the LCD screen, so I thought it would be fine. However, the battery indicator ONLY comes on when the phone is actually charging! It has a little animation showing the battery filling up, but take the phone off the charger and you're just guessing how much juice it has. I know it's a nit, but I think it is false advertising to put a picture like that on the web or on the product box.
All in all a decent phone, but nothing to write home about.
Good Phones With Nice Features.......2007-07-20
The phones work well and are easy to use. I like the small design, voicemail indicator and the speakerphone on each handset. I don't find the ringtones to be as annoying as others. The only problem is that there is a slight echo when you first make or receive a call. It stops after a few seconds, but it is still a small nuisance.
