The Samsung P2 is the first Samsung MP3 widescreen video player with an optimized touchscreen user interface and Bluetooth functionality. The P2's Bluetooth capability will enable the P2 to pair with other Bluetooth 2.0 devices.

The P2 comes ready to pair with stereo Bluetooth 2.0 headphones and speaker systems to provide high-quality wireless listening. For added convenience, the P2 is able to pair with up to two devices at the same time. Full integration with cell phones will be available via a firmware upgrade in November 2007. Users can even set up datacasts (podcasts) by using the SMS software that comes on the included installation disk.
The Samsung P2 is a 4 GB Flash-based portable media player with a three-inch widescreen LCD and a slim-style form factor. Capable of video, music, photo, and FM radio playback, the P2 lets you enjoy your favorite media files wherever you go. The player supports video playback in MPEG4, SVI, and WMV9 file formats and audio playback in MP3, WMA, and subscription WMA file formats. JPEG files can be viewed as pictures or slideshows. Packed with such additional features as an alarm clock, world clock, and calendar functionality, the P2 is an extremely multifunctional media player.
The P2 also comes with a file viewer, which you can use to view and delete any file on the device without the PC. The P2 supports up to 30 hours of music or five hours of video playback with every full charge of its internal Li-Poly rechargeable battery. The P2's battery charges whenever the device is connected to an active USB link. Compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems, the P2 measures 3.94 x 2.05 x 0.39 inches and weighs just 2.88 ounces.

An awsome mp3 player, but dissapointing at the same time.......2007-12-22
Seeing that this was a highly rated mp3 player, I had high expectations for it. The screen, videos, and pictures on it look absolutly beautiful, and the touch screen didn't take long to get used to. I love everything about it except the one thing that counts the most when it comes to high end products like this, sound quality! It sounds good mostly, but it lacks real punchy bass, and it distorts easy when increasing the bass in the EQ. My other mp3 player is a Cowon U2, the sound quality on it is an audiophile's dream. But with a measly 1 gig of memory, and not designed to play videos I want something else, good sound quality is a must for me!
A good mp3 player, but not user friendly........2007-12-01
I gave this product 4 stars because it not the easiest thing to get content on to. The player itself was simple to use. The menus on the screen has small icons. Not recommended for first time mp3 owners or persons with large fingers. Video conversion time can vary depending on the size and file type. From my experience it takes about the same amount of time as the video file or less, keep in mind that I have a 6 year old desktop. Conversion may be faster for new computers. When converting make sure to choose the highest settings for quality.

I love it. Works great, the battery life seems good, the buttons on the sides are pretty handy, being about to set up your own background is nice. The only two complaints I have are that it is new (ie doesn't have many accessories out yet) and it makes it very easy to watch my favorite movies during class...

I had used this freak mp3 player.
Here is reasons why I am saying piece of poop.
1. SOUND : I can tell this mp3 has the best sound quality. BUT!!! Nothing good beside sound.
2. Video : Holy Poop. Everytime, you have to convert video clip in to .svi!! How bad is it....Furthermore, quality of video sucks.
3. Picture : IPOD TOUCH is better! Slow slide show.
4. TEXT VIEW : KILLS YOUR BATTERY!!
5. RADIO : YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!! YOU WILL NOT HEAR ANY CHANNELS. USELESS!!!
6. DATACAST : WHAT THE HELL!! USELESS FUNCTION. YOU WILL NOT USE THIS KIND OF FUNCTION IN THE FUTURE. UNLIKE TOUCH, YOU HAVE TO UPDATE EVERY NIGHT!!!
7. BLUETOOTH : HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS. AT LEAST BLUETOOTH WILL COST YOU $40. YP-P2 8GB + BLUETOOTH = IPOD TOUCH 8GB
8. GUI : ONLY 3 DIFFERENT TYPES.
9. LIMITED DEGREE OF FREEDOM IN YOUR MP3

I am getting ready to send this back to Amazon or Fellowes. I have not even had it a month and I have a number of problems. At first it was great. But 2 weeks later it suddenly stopped moving right or moving down on the screen. Bad thing is there is no rhyme or reason, so it happenes at any time. The worst thing I have experienced is it will lock the page in a kind of automatic scroll down position. I cannot do anything on the page unless I use my touchpad or keypoard. Then the Fellowes magically unlocks and I can use it again. I'm bummed because there seem to be few of these on the market...maybe there is a reason. I hope the 2nd one works!!

The specs don't say it's compatible with Vista but I wanted to try it anyway. It definately is not for Vista. I'm sending it back and trying something else. Lesson learned. It's still a great product though. I tried it on my work PC and it's really neat to use once you get used to the feel of it.

What I really liked about the hand held trackball is freedom to sit or stand anywhere(without a table top) to control my computer. I have been checking for other products like it and have only found this trackball. What I hate about this product is it becomes useless after a year or two. This is my fourth Fellowes trackball in about five years. If it wasn't for the short lifespan I would be happy with the product.
Maybe in a few years they may come out with a wireless model. Then I could get rid of the long extension cable that runs across my floor to the couch. If it wasn't for the price I probably wouldn't have bought more than a couple over the years. This is the only pointing device that I have found that I can sit on my couch and play computer games for hours without muscle fatigue in my arm or wrist.

Hypersensitive ball and buttons makes precision mousing difficult........2007-10-27
Over all, I'm very happy with the design of the Fellowes micro-trackball, but I've got some issues with the particular one that I bought.
This is the second Fellowes micro-trackball that I have owned. They're great for surfing the web on a laptop, becuase there usually isn't surface space for a real mouse or trackball when I'm traveling (and they are a thousand times better than the glide point things on the laptop itself). The first Fellowes micro-trackball that I owned was fabulous. Lasted for about 3 years -- for $18 that's a very good deal.
So far, this one seems to be as well built, but the roller ball and the buttons are HYPER sensitive. I've set the controls in my OS's (linux) mouse driver to lower the sensitivity, but that only works for the ball. I have to be very careful not to twitch the "left-click" button by mistake.
First time I've ever bought electronics and HOPED that it will wear in a bit and lose some sensitivity. :)

I love this mouse. I can just sit in a chair or recliner with my laptop without having a hard surface to roll a mouse on. Although the finger hole is smaller than i expected, so i click the button sometimes when i dont want to. Other than that it is a great mouse.
