Get an iPod nano for free instead!.......2006-08-13
Why settle for less, when you can get a brand new original iPod nano 4GB for Free! I got mine from this web site: ilikethis.info/ipod-nano
BUY IT.......2005-03-11
I just received mine and I loved it!..It's not really big (128MB) but you can buy a bigger one....the physical size is perfect, not too small, and not big at all...The store is really good, delivered before the time scheduled...awesome!!
My advice is: IF YOU WANT A MP3 PLAYER, BUY IT HERE!
Impressive......most impressive.......2005-02-04
I got my JumpDrive Music a few days ago and really enjoy it. Within ten minutes of taking it out of the packaging, I had songs downloaded onto it.
I couldn't find another product similar to this. I wanted a USB jump drive and an mp3 player all-in-one, and all I could find was one without the other. I mainly use the JumpDrive Music while on the treadmill, but I have also found myself needing something quick and easy for transferring large files via sneakernet.
This thing is easy to use and I think the quality is great. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. And the price was great, too.
Drawbacks- The body is wider than most of your other jump drives, so if you have a recessed USB port on your computer, you'll have to use the USB extension cord that comes with it in order to reach it. That's not too bad, but it does take away from the convenience of it.
I give the belt clip issue another vote. I'm planning on looking for maybe a cell phone belt pouch that it will fit in.
Overall, if anything happened to this one and there was nothing new and comparable on the market, I would buy this one again.
Overall great inexpensive MP3 player - USB drive!.......2004-11-19
If you're looking for an inexpensive USB drive for storing and transferring files (either music on other types of files), but would also like a portable MP3 player that plays both MP3 and the superior Window Media Audio (WMA) format, this is a great buy!
The menu options of the audio player includes:
Equalizer: (can choose from the following pre-programmed settings: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Pop, Boom).
Play mode: Normal, Repeat Track, Repeat All, Shuffle, and Shuffle Repeat.
Lockable buttons (have to enter a random set of displayed keys to unlock).
Option to have backlight ON or OFF (power saver).
Contrast: Can change to lighter or darker.
Power saver: Can set the unit to turn off after 1/2/5/10/30 minutes of inactivity, or can be disabled.
--------------------
You can use a media player that can recognize a portable media player to transfer the music files, or you can simply copy the files onto the Jumpdrive audio player. (I use Windows XP with Windows Media player 10).
The battery life is rated at 6 hours for alkaline, and I got at least that. (I usually use rechargeable batteries that are cheaper to use!)
One of the minor drawbacks of the player: if you are in the middle of a list of songs that you are listening to and the unit is turned off, it will not remember where you left off and will start from the beginning.
I use a nicer set of headphone compared to what comes with the player, and the sound quality rivals a nice CD player. This depends of course upon the sampling quality of the file being listened to. For the price, you can't beat it!
Easy to use, inexpensive, and decent features........2004-03-26
I've been happy with my Lexar Media Jumpdrive. As a USB flash drive that will store any files you drop on it, as well as play about 2 hours of audio in MP3 and WMA format.
Transfering music is as easy as plugging it in. It is automatically picked up by the operating system as a removable drive - no drivers, no CD, works on Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, you name it.
The case is durable and fits in my hand well, but could be a bit more substancial. Navigation is fairly intuitive with one joystick that controls all functions.
Sound quality is great... I can't complain about the earbud headphones that it comes with. The backlit screen is easy on the eyes and battery life is pretty decent off of 1 AAA battery (included).
Room for improvement: I'd love a belt clip... the lanyard doesn't do much for me when working out.

Unreliable alarm.......2007-09-16
Emerson CK5250 Dual Alarm Clock Radio (Silver)
Well, I love the look and the huge numbers but the alarm is hopeless. It goes off at random times of the day (and night) even when the alarm switch is set to OFF! I had it in a spare bedroom so I ignored this for quite some time. Sometimes it sets off the alarm beep sound. Sometimes it sets off the radio. The time it goes off has nothing to do with either of the times set on the alarm settings (or whether the alarm is set to play or not). I contact Emerson radio and they agreed to replace it for me (even though it was technically out of warranty) however by the time I pay for shipping (and their additional request of $5 to ship it back) I would have paid for this clock all over again. So I opted not to return it. [...].
I wish it was more reliable.......2006-02-01
pros:
-nice large display, but not to bright at night
-LOVE the alarm sounds, not a harsh buzzing, but a polite beep (1 beep every 1.5 seconds on the first alarm, 2 short beep-beeps on the second alarm every 1.5 seconds)
-the oversized snooze button is in a perfect location, and you won't accidently hit the sleep button or turn off the alarm because they are spaced far enough apart.
cons:
the first alarm we had worked fine for several months, but then it wouldn't go off, even when set properly.
eventually the first alarm setting wouldn't work at all and we had to use the second alarm for both of us to wake up, very irritating (thats why we bought a dual alarm).
but since we liked the alarm so much we went out and bought a new one. this one didn't even wait a week before the alarms wouldn't go off at their proper time.
We really enjoyed the alarm because of its polite beeps and the oversized snooze button so I wouldn't hit the sleep button accidently (which has been a problem with prior alarm clocks), but unfortunately it doesn't have a good track record with running properly.
Completely Unreliable.......2005-06-23
I do agree that this alarm clock has many features, like an AM/FM tuner, a double alarm, and a bright display.
But it is very unreliable with its alarms. It did work fine in the 9 months I owned it; then things started to happen.
Five months - The radio quality seem to drop A LOT! Many stations refused to come in, and it made it almost unusable.
Six months - The bright display was much darker when I first bought it. I had a hard time reading the time due to this.
Nine months (THE FINAL STRAW) - The alarm would not go off at some times. In a month, six alarms did not go off, and I was way behind my day. And to make matters worse, the alarm would go off at random times; in one time it went off at 1:00 AM, and that was awful.
The CK5250 has a few nice features, but it's not durable. Unrecommended.
Good clock, ok radio.......2005-03-05
Pros:
- The time on the clock is easy to set and use.
- The clock is easy to see with the bright time option.
- The alarm can actually go off even if the batteries are dead. However, this only works with battery power.
- Very durable. Dropped it from a bunk-bed about 10 times, and still no defects.
- Nap setting is a great future of the alarm clock.
Cons:
- The alarm sound is kind of quiet and inconsistent. Both two alarms are quite quiet, and are just small beeps that are 1 1/2 seconds apart.
- The radio quality is poor. It's hard to get even some local stations to work correctly.
- The speaker is very poor. The sound on the radio disorts a lot.
BOTTOMLINE: If you're looking for a cheap yet durable alarm clock with a radio you're not gonna use often, this one is a perfect pick. If you're expecting a lot from the radio, I'd look elsewhere. Otherwise, great alarm clock!
