Slow As Molasses.......2007-12-21
I just purchased a brand new Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman and what a piece of poor quality. I have used a rollerball mouse for years and my other one just died...so I read reviews and purchased the Trackman. Slower than molasses...the rollerball will not move up and down and it feels like it drags when I try to move it from side to side. Back it goes to Amazon and I will keep looking....I miss my rollerball mouse!!!

This is my third trackman. Works great with a wireless keyboard. Can be discouraging when doesn't work, but that hardley happens anymore. Usually just means to replace batteries. The only real flaw I've seen is that the long left click button wears out. I am hard on the button but still it shouldn"t wear out that easily. This is what has gone bad in my first two units.
Best Trackball I've ever used.......2007-11-14
This trackball is so much better than the old thumb ball, which wore my thumb out.The wheel is handy for the pointer finger. I had one for a couple years, or more, and this is my second one.

I bought this for a new computer. I wanted a trackball because of limited space. Unfortunately, there are few cordless ones on the market. This one had nice features and in general worked well. However, the button that controls mouse clicks is mounted so that there is sideways pressure when it is pushed. This means the trackball must be held securely or it will move sideways. My old trackball had a button that was pushed down, and it never moved.
As a result I reinstalled the old cordless trackball on the new computer and relegated this one to the seldom used back-up computer. I'm sorry I wasted the money.

Just received the trackball today. At first the ball seemed really sluggish, but after using it for 30 min + it rolls very smoothly. Maybe going from new to used helps it become smooth? The large shape of the product makes it a nice fit for my hand. Many buttons, scroll wheel, right click are nice. I bought the product to replace my Apple bluetooth wireless mighty mouse. So far, I definitely recommend the product.
I have one concern. The software did not run on my Mac. It could be a software issue on my Mac...I tried to go to the website and it still wouldn't run. I'm not too hurt by it, I think the button layout is fine..so far. I do have to say that my Mac automatically recognized it and I didn't even have to "pair" or "connect" it. It just worked!
