Excellent product, received one before, was happy, bought another for a sibling. Scroll works well, does not collect dust, clicks easily (though a tad loud). Great buy, overall.
Unfortunately, optical mice (like this one) do not work well with white surfaces (counter tops, white mousepads).

great... but one minor problem.......2007-09-26
I've owned this mouse for several years now. I bought it to replace an old ball/roller-type mouse because I was tired of cleaning the ball all the time and also because I didn't like using a mouse pad. I think this mouse is great. I've never had any serious problems with it as the other reviews have stated. The device feels solid, , installed with no problems, looked nice when I first got it (looks kind of worn now), and lets the pointer glide smoothly. I've used it on different computers including 2 desktop PCs and 1 laptop I took advantage of both the USB connector and PS2 adapter included in the package, and it worked fine in every case on all 3 machines.
The only problem I have with this mouse is just a minor annoyance to me. The issue showed up after about a year of use. Sometimes when I stop moving the mouse, the pointer will begin to slowly creep to the left, and only to the left. When I notice the creeping, I tap or jiggle the mouse and it stops... no biggie.
Although the creeping issue can be annoying, it has never given me any serious problems, therefore I still feel comfortable recommending this mouse. I feel for others who have had bad experiences with it because mine has been great. Except for the creep, its been a good device.
Doesn't work right.......2006-09-08
No problem w/ skipping on my new Win XP machine (like other reviewer had). But sometimes you click and get no response. Other times, you left click and get a double click.
Downloaded driver from website (same rev. as I got with mouse), but no help. Belkin tech service had me delete the software and re-install; that worked only until the next re-boot.
Disappointed.......2006-01-13
I was looking for a great, affordable 5-button mouse. This one worked right off the bat--once I plugged it in. I was surprised that it came with a floppy disk with the drivers on it---who even USES floppys anymore!? I was able to dl drivers off the website though, so that wasn't a big deal. My biggest disappointment with this mouse is the fact that it is SOOOOO jumpy! It skips ALL over the place, and that is REALLY annoying. For this ONE reason, a very big one (to me), I rate it at a 2.
