This case was purchased for use with an IPod Video 60GB.

The case was sturdy and nice looking on the whole. I was worried about it scratching up my IPod but it came lined with felt and a piece of replacement felt. It was easy to use, the click wheel is very accessible, and no part of the screen is covered by the edges of the case. That said, the case needs to be significantly redesigned to be considered a good product. As others have mentioned it most certainly doesn't fit the 60GB. There is a simple snap-clasp on one long side that is supposed to keep it closed, but with my IPod in the case it is not even close to closing. There is about a 2 mm. crack all around the case that lets in all manner of dirt and dust, besides allowing the IPod to shift in the case. One of the good things, the felt, quickly began to peel off around the edges and especially in the corners from the shifting weight of the IPod. Also, while the metal of the case is thick enough to be protective, the edges were not finished off well. I have sliced my finger more than once spinning through playlists - nothing terrible, but like getting a papercut from a thick birthday card. Finally, the belt clip is terrible. It might as well not be there it's so useless. The clip slips off the "button" that attaches it to the case with the slightest of bumps. Even clipping onto my pocket backwards (with the case actually in my pocket and the clip showing on the outside of the pocket) did not stop the clip from popping off the case. Also, it has no grip. Clip it to anything, thick or thin, and you can easily slide it off with the push of a finger. Because the clip swivels the weight of my IPod has actually caused it to simply slide and drop off when I've had it clipped to a belt loop.

This case does not serve the whole purpose for which it was designed. A simple protective case - if protection is all you're looking for - can be had for less than we paid for this one (at Amazon) and won't come with the annoying addition of a clip that won't clip on and a clasp that won't close.

A protection that do not protect..........2007-11-13

You see, when you first buy this product and receive it, you can actually see why it's so cheap ! The belt clip is really dangerous, if you don't want to give your ipod a look what concrete is like, do not EVER clip it to your belt ! And what about the protection ? Well, apart from the fact that dust comes inside and slowly but surely cover the screen, that you can't plug a headphone correctly (Take a Sony XD-100 for instance, it will always unplug when you run or walk a little bit faster than average !). Still, it's a protection, it protects, but if you have to choose one, do not take this one !

Would be five stars if they had protected the keypad. Otherwise it does it's job. also gives it a diffrent look. Than regular Ipod Classics.

well the case is sturdy as a rock but the clip is super delicate I broke the clip when i was trying to take it off in the first 2 weeks of having this product.

The case perfectly fits my 80G models and the belt clip is a nice option and functions well. For the current price (even including shipping), this is a very good value compared to similar units you'll find at most retail outlets, therefore, I highly recommend this!

I have been using this case for about 10 days now and it seems pretty solid. I had been searching for a good hardcase for a couple of months and had been to several stores including a Mac store without finding anyhting that wasn't either expensive (twice the price) or really bulky. This case is very slim (I thought it would be too small when I first unwrapped it) and has a cool neoprene lining that keeps the ipod snugly in place (not like the clear plastic cases that have no padding). Also, the hard screen protector is something I've only seen on a couple of other cases. The top latch seems to work pretty well.

I mostly bought the case for anti-squishing when my ipod is in my backpack. I have only used the belt clip while I am doing low key stuff around the house; it doesn't seem tremendously secure...I probably wouldn't use it for running.

Solid case for the money.......2007-03-09

Very pleased with this case. Solid, and theres no way any damage can come to the iPod unless it falls on the wheel. The only issue I have with this case is that its sort of easy to open, which leads me to believe that if I ever dropped it, the iPod might pop out.

Also contrary to the picture, the case I got opens from left to right, not top to bottom, which I actually think I prefer.

This is just what I was looking for: a sturdy, hard case for the 30Gb iPod that leaves all the connections and the touch wheel accessible while protecting the screen. This was the only case I found that had real screen protection. The belt clip pivots, which is great when you sit down with the iPod clipped onto your pants pocket. Great buy.

Great case, cheap belt clip.......2006-12-06

I have had this case for over a year now. I have dropped my ipod countless times and it still works great. The case is scratched up but it is still holding up. Even with the case you can still easily work the scroll wheel. However, the belt clip is poorly designed and the ipod is easily knocked off. It is frustrating because you cant even use it when you are exercising because any little jolt knocks the ipod off. So as long as you only need a case, get this product.

IF you are going to use this case in sandy areas such as Iraq is suggest buying some of the stick on clear Ipod protectors.Sand will get in.The top of the case where you connect in your headphones is open and the bottom is open as well.With that said the clickwheel portion of the case has a seal around the inside so nothing gets in.The part around the screen of your Ipod doesn't have a seal it just has the clear plastic piece covering it.I have not dropped mine so I can't say how it holds up to that test.I love the look of the case and it is unobtrusive.I have already gone through one of the vinyl rubbery plastic cases and it tore on me and it did nothing to protect my Ipod.Granted I am probably a little tougher on my Ipod and my case than most people.It is constantly in and out of my pocket and is exposed to a lot of sand.I do have scratches on the case screen but I look at is as that is why I bought it.My belt clip is still intact and I have not tried the neck string.The case clicks firmly closed
