Fantastic Sound, But Not For Everyone.......2007-10-12
The biggest flaw for all earbuds, from the super-expensive Bose to the affordable Phillips or Sony brands, is that they're marketed as one-size fits all, one-sound fits all.
I've purchased nearly a dozen different earbuds in the past two years (Sony, Koss, Phillips, iPod, EarHugger, Plantronics, and more), trying to find the right combination of comfort and sound. Not everyone's ears are the same size, and not everyone likes bass-heavy or treble-heavy sound. Each pair I bought sounds and fits completely different.
The ones that work for me are these Phillips earbuds, and the EarHugger Platinum Series/Air Cushion (#EH-1260AC) the sound quality is a bull's-eye for the music I listen to. Guitars are front and center, and the vocals, bass, drums and other instruments sound big and completely balanced. Not tinny, not drowning in bass, but great clarity and full separation. They also don't fall out of my ears easily.
That is not to say that they will work for everyone. I guarantee they won't fit everyone's ears, and they won't hit everyone's perfect target sound.
Both pairs cost around $20, which convinces me that earbuds are an entirely subjective purchase. Just because you pay $100+ for a pair of earbuds doesn't mean you're automatically going to get a higher-quality listening experience.
It's a different story for large, over-the-ear headphones, like the Sony MDR-7506 (easily the best sounding headphones for the price), you almost always get what you pay for.
So to sum up, I love these Phillips earbuds, and the price is a steal, but I wouldn't argue with someone who doesn't like them. It's the nature of the earbud beast...
Very good headphones.......2007-10-10
I have been very happy with these headphones. These fit my ears perfectly, and have great sound for ear buds. I don't know if these other people are trying to compare these to studio headphones, but these are the best earbuds I've ever owned, and have lasted me well over a year. For the price, a great buy.
Wasting money.......2007-09-20
I can't even walk down the street in these without them falling out of my ears. No matter how hard I jam them in there, or how many different ways I try to move them around they don't fit in my ear
poor sound.......2007-09-11
The rubber inserts broke after a couple months. The real stinker is that they never sounded good anyway. The sound is "airey" and they are quite loud, but lack bottom end in a big way. I've used probably a dozen earbuds over my life and these sounded the worst. Sound is a relative thing, but I'd look on if you're considering these buds.

these phones are good. They stay in your ears and the sound is fine. phones are like sunlgasses you always loose them so it's good to stick with cheap ones that get the job done.

Fits my iPod like a glove!.......2007-03-15
I'm using this case with my 30GB 5.5 Gen iPod video and so far I'm very satisfied with it! Openings to the click wheel, hold button, earphone jack, and USB port are right where they should be. There is a plastic shield for the screen...I left the clear packaging film on the front of my new iPod so the click wheel is still protected, and the film didn't peel off when I put the iPod in this case. The lining is very soft and holds the iPod nice and snug...you really have to pull to get the iPod out of the case (which is good in case the snap closure was to accidentally open). The case has a very nice feel to it, and it won't make your iPod bulky.
I found the case at a local wal mart for less $$.
Hands down, my favorite cases for a video iPOD.......2007-02-07
How could I have neglected body glove from making an mp3 cases. I have a 5th generation 30GB iPod video. This fits the iPod perfectly. The headphone jack - no problem, the ON button - no problem, the line connector to iTunes - no problem. I dont have a cradle... dont need one... i just lay if flat on the desk. The feel of this case is perfect, you can really feel the grip and the BELT CLIP! Hands down my favorite one. It's not the Clip Wheel type where you can snap it back and snap back on... I don't like those because they swivel too much and move around and just annoys the heck out of me. When you jog, it my turn and turn and latch your headphones. Had that type with my cell phone and I threw it away and just stick my phone in my pocket. But this SCUBA MP3 SUIT made for 30B/60GB Video iPOD is by far the best.
The inside fabric is soft and mesh so it won't scratch it anywhere. It has a plastic face screen to keep your screen smudge and scratch free. The operation wheel is open, so you don't have to mess with a thin sheet of cover on it and having to run your fingers a couples times more just to penetrate through that seal.
It does come with an Velcro Arm Band for those who want to sport it on your arm or elbow, however you want.
I've used it on my BIKE. I don't use the arm band, what I do is use the BRAKE WIRES that are in coiled in the front near the handle bars and stick two of them in the belt clip and let it hang, stays sturdy and face front so you can operate it easily. I have also seen riders wrap it around their water bottle with the arm band, because they have a front stationed water bottle holder. Great idea.
Try it out.... you will be happy.
