Progressive scan: A television with progressive scanning can generate a picture in a single pass, in a similar way to a computer screen. High-end DVD players also support this technology. Conventional interlaced scanning requires two passes to generate a picture: the first pass for the odd-numbered scan lines, the second for the even-numbered scan lines. Progressive scan has a refresh rate of 60 times per second, double the speed of conventional analog TVs, so the picture looks sharper, more solid, and more cinematic.

Pros:
- Cheap
- Reads recordable DVDs (not Divx)
- Reads both NTSC and PAL formats
Cons:
- Remote control has narrow range and sluggish responsiveness. Buttons are inconveniently organized and confusing.
- Loading slightly dirty DVDs is painfully slow
- Occasional glitches when playing DVDs (even new ones).
- Reading high resolution JPEGs is slow and slideshow mode is unpleasantly choppy (screen goes blank while the next image is read).
- Instruction manual is barely usable
- Waking the unit from standby must be done via the remote control.
Bottom line:
Although the cheap price tag might be attractive, I would personally recommend against purchasing this product. Using this DVD player, even for the basic user who doesn't require any extra features, is frustrating and does not provide the simple "just-works" comfort you'd expect from a consumer product.

My BB 8300 fits nicely, looks good too but with one problem - the extra large clip pinches in my love handles (as reviewed by others too), and I am not a fat person. I would give it a five stars if it wasn't for this clip.
Cheap and functional.......2007-11-01
This OEM holster is cheap and functional. The built-in magnetic sensor turns off the screen on my BB Curve automatically. The leather flap that goes over the top of the holster also can close itself. The "lock" is a strong low-tech magnet located on the end of the leather flap. This is an extremely smart and efficient design. It uses simple enough technology to keep the cost down.
Definitely a cheap and functional trick.
Great Case!.......2007-08-24
My biggest concern with this case was that it would widen the Curve. I bought the phone for its small stature and didn't want the case to ruin it. It is both a nice looking case and not a terribly thick case. The best part is the proximity sensor that kicks the BlackBerry into vibrate mode, etc. It is worth it to get an official BlackBerry Case. Selecting other brands would cause you to loose out on a very useful feature.

This a genuine OEM RIM holster.Excellent quality. Holster uses a strong magnet to hold it shut, not a snap. This makes it very convenient to poop it in and out of the holster. Comes with a good strong, 180 degree adjustable clip.
Outstatanding 8300 Holster.......2007-08-02
Outstanding. Works like a charm in executing the "in holster" and "out of holster" functions in my custom profile. For the past few days I had been carrying around the 8300 in a shirt that had a buttoned front pocket (and having to wash the shirt every night) ... bad news is that it is in the 90's here, and it is a winter shirt! I'm glad to get rid of that shirt! The clip is perfect for my belt, and the swivel works great.
I paid extra for expedited shipping - ordered on Tuesday and got it on Thursday.
