Fatal Flaw.......2007-05-14
This unit has a lot more than I expected... divx playback (a little bit choppy, though), SD slot and plenty of input/output options, for eg. The screen is big and looks great. Sound is OK out of the speakers and very good out of my headphones.
The fatal flaw is with the battery. The battery pack simply does not sit well in the compartment. Contact is lost at the slightest move and the unit powers down. This is more than annoying... it's a complete and utter deal breaker for me. Sadly, I'm returning it to Costco this week.
Obviously, this may just be a problem with my particular unit. I have no way of knowing without exchanging for another...

I had originally bought the 8" Toshiba at Costo and hated it. It would skip and the instuction manuel said not to use it in a moving car. The picture was horrible. I took it back and got the Mintek with a lot of reservations. I thought Mintek was a cheap brand. I was so happily surprised by how great and clear the picture was, what a different to the toshiba. I highly recommend the Mintek 12" The picture quality is wonderful and you can move it all over and it doesn't skip. Don't buy anything else but this Mintek 12", you won't be disappointed!!

My definition of a greeting card is a card that is folded. These are post cards. They are single 4x6 sheets with matte coating on each side. The stock is very lightweight, so the envelopes are necessary for mailing.

This is by far the best company for bluetooth tech that I have seen. I have had Jabara and Motorola and none has the feel and reliability of Scala. I have already worn out one Scala and tried the other 2 companies for replacement, NO DEAL! It's Scala or nothing!

Product Description
These mini hubs are twisted pair hubs intended to connect as many as eight IEEE 802.3 10Base-T network segments through one unit. Each hub has one twisted pair port specifically designed with an uplink (cascading) capability supporting a Media Dependent Interface (MDI/MDI-X) crossover switch. As many as four hubs can be cascaded together to form an independent workgroup. These mini hubs utilize the latest IC and Surface Mount Technology (SMT), which increases functionality and reliability. Additionally, these hubs are very small in size yet they provide the complete functionality of large hubs including packet regeneration and network partitioning. The packet regeneration results in a higher performance network by regenerating preamble, retiming the data packets and extending collision fragments to ensure collision enforcement by all nodes. Each segment automatically detects the polarity of the receive pair and reverses should the pair be incorrectly installed. The IEEE defined link integrity test function continually monitors the receive pair to ensure link continuity. It also includes a partitioning capability where each segment automatically disconnects itself after repeated collisions are detected. These mini hubs support jabber lock-up protection on all interfaces, preventing transceiver lock-up resulting from packets that exceed the maximum packet length. Network diagnostic LEDs are provided on the front of the mini hubs to aid in monitoring system and network performance. There is one LED associated with each twisted pair segment that indicates "Link OK" (indicating an operational segment.) Additionally, there are three central LEDs indicating "Activity," "Collision" and "Power." Installation of these mini hubs is simple and straightforward. For desktop use, self-adhesive rubber feet are provided. For wall mount, the bottom of each chassis contains two "keyhole" openings for hanging on wall protrusions (e.g. screws.)
